She decided that property was the way forward to providing a future for herself and her 5 children. Linda loves a bargain, knows what she can afford and negotiates hard. She buys cheap, good quality properties that are well located. She knows methods to stay on track and not become emotionally involved. |

In the last 4 years, Kerrie has added $4.1m to her property portfolio by purchasing 25 rentals in Brisbane and regional NSW. This Wonder Woman has completed 16 renovations and manages all of the NSW properties herself. Kerrie adds value through renovation, strata and subdivision. Kerrie saves costs by not selling and believes in holding property to take advantage of the financial growth in equity. |

Jennifer from Melbourne was in her late 40’s when she rebuilt her future from virtually nothing by using property investment. In 7 years she has purchased 14 properties, and inspired her kids and friends to become property investors as well. Jennifer loves to help others to get excited about property “I’ve even become a role model for my bank manager”. |

|  | Christine When Christine split from her partner of 10 years in 2006 she had to divide a portfolio of 7 properties. She has gone on to rebuild and now has 5 properties in her portfolio, and an offer pending on a block of flats. Investing is now so much fun. Christine recently enjoyed silver service dining and a good night’s sleep during her trip on the Spirit of Tasmania. By the time she arrived in Launceston, she was well rested and ready for a quick 7 day renovation on her latest acquisition. The quick facelift has increased the rent and made the property cash flow positive. |

She watched the market start to rise in 2001 and decided that she didn’t want to miss out. Since 2004, a QLD mum of 6 has accumulated 11 investment properties and tried her hand at renovation, strata titling and major development. She’s just purchased a property in Adelaide. The day after the lease expires on the less than desirable tenant, Audra will start the gutting and revamping process. What a great way to have an interstate holiday and share time with relatives and friends. |

Best Newcomer |  | Catherine Having a self employed husband, and little superannuation, made property a good investment choice for Catherine. When Catherine’s husband passed away 6 years ago, she was left with a huge loss emotionally, as well as financially. Catherine has combined her love of property and her need to keep busy and has continued to run her husband’s business and a small farm single handedly. Catherine now shares her investing knowledge and some joint ventures with her 2 children so that they all have a property portfolio. At his wedding recently, her son proudly reflected “The greatest influence in my life is my mum”. |
|  | Vicki Although Vicki had her first taste of investing in 1996, it wasn’t until 2003 that she “retired” to become a full time investor. Since then she has bought, extended and renovated her own home in Adelaide, and now holds 8 investment properties in SA and QLD. Vicki knows firsthand that strata titling isn’t as easy as it looks. She is in the process of doing just that with a block of 4 units. |

It wasn’t easy to start with – there was continual rejection from lenders but applying the techniques she teaches, Annie has persisted, focused and achieved her dream – two fold! Annie now has one retreat in NSW and one in Perth, and along the way she managed to buy 12 properties in just 14 months! Annie just goes to show you what you can do when you set your mind to it! |

Amanda finds the positives of a situation when many others may see only negatives - with a broken wrist on the 2nd day of a snow-skiing holiday in Japan last year, Amanda took the opportunity to search for property online, found a great deal, and set to make a $400k profit from that experience. Amanda has only been investing for 6 years old but has still managed to complete 3 developments, sell 11 properties, hold 4 and currently has 2 developments still in progress! |

This working mother of 2 from Adelaide realised that the harder she worked in her business, the harder she had to work. She was missing out on spending valuable time with her children. She began investing by using 106% of the banks money to fund her deals. For Prue, “property as a passion and a real life game of Monopoly”. She’s given up her business to tour Australia in a caravan with her husband and children onboard. No doubt she’ll be visiting property deals at the same time. |
